Special Education
I have a Bachelors Degree in Education.
I graduation from TWU in 2014 with a Bacheloers of Science in Education with a minor in Special Education. I am currently certified in English as a Second Language (ESL) and Special Education.
The past two years I have attended The Academy for Teachers of Young Children.
This will be my 6th year to teach, but my first year at Nocona Elementary School. I am teaching Life Skills with grades Kindergarten-5th grade.
I started teaching in 2014 at Farmersville Intermediate in Farmersville, TX. My 2nd-3rd year to teach I was at Whitesboro Intermediate School teaching 3-5th grade Special Education Resource class. My 4th-5th year to teach I was teaching at Bowie Elementary School teaching Pre-k and PPCD.
I have 3 children; my oldest daughter is attending University of Texas in Austin. I have two children that will be attending Nocona; a 13 year old girl that will be in the 8th grade and a 7 year old boy that will be in the 1st grade. I also have a a girl that is in college. She is attending UT in Austin.
When I am not in the classroom, I like to watch movies, spending time with my family, and like to read children’s books. One of my favorite authors is Patricia Polacco; my favorite book by her is Thank You, Mr. Falker. Another favorite book of mine is Miss Nelson is Missing! by Harry Allard. I am really excited about this school year. I know it’s going to be a great year.
